Every year, more than 50,000 people in Germany suffer cardiac arrest. The survival rate is currently only around 10%! The problem is that resuscitation measures are started too late or not at all, and defibrillation is performed too late or not at all.
Especially in acute emergency situations, confidence and routine are prerequisites for quick, goal-oriented action. Regular refresher training of knowledge and skills is therefore essential. Studies show that regular resuscitation training of hospital staff improves CPR quality and thus the success rates of restoring circulation.
The aim of these training courses is to teach participants the current guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) in theory and, above all, in practical exercises, this is enabling them to act confidently in critical situations.
Modern training models and simulators are available for the practical exercises and realistic scenarios.
The current guidelines of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) form the content and scientific basis for our instructors.
We offer the following training courses:
Duration: 1,25 Std.
Contents:
- Theoretical principles of resuscitation according to current ERC guidelines
- A-B-C-D-E scheme
- Automated external defibrillator (AED), early defibrillation
- Practical exercises in basic life support measures on training dummies (1-rescuer method, 2-rescuer method)
- Team-oriented exercises on the simulator
Duration: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
This workshop teaches the basics of cardiovascular arrest. You will also learn preventive measures to avoid in-hospital cardiac arrest. The aim is to gain more confidence in in-hospital emergency situations and life-saving emergency measures.
This workshop also aims to promote patient-centered, interdisciplinary emergency teamwork and to support information transfer, communication, and networking in the in-hospital emergency area.
Contents:
- Procedure and concept of cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to ERC (European Resuscitation Council)
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) according to ERC – presentation of resuscitation algorithms
- Soft skills in crisis resource management, team building, team communication
- Introduction to AED and defibrillator and medication administration
- Practical training in BLS, airway management
- Team-oriented resuscitation training, emergency scenario with debriefing
- Peri-arrest arrhythmias
- Decision-making in resuscitation
