Tasks (excerpt):
- Practical instructors are responsible for the practical training of trainees. The aim is to enable trainees to perform their professional duties independently as specialists. Practical instructors are therefore authorized to give instructions to the trainees assigned to them.
- Linking theoretical requirements and practical requirements by explaining, instructing on procedures, demonstrating nursing activities, encouraging learning, and setting learning goals
- Primary and responsible contact person for all questions relating to training in the company
- Responsibility for the creation, design, and further development of the training plan in consultation with the relevant (nursing) vocational school
- Creating and evaluating the practical learning tasks for trainees
- Conducting preliminary and reflective discussions with trainees
- Preparation of practical examinations and assumption of an advisory or participatory role
Technical, personal, social, and methodological skills are acquired for the individual educational support and guidance of trainees in the healthcare professions in their everyday working lives. The focus of the continuing education program is on:
- developing an understanding of the educational role based on current didactic and educational models as well as legal principles
- expanding scientific knowledge and applying it in everyday working life
- strengthening personal and action-oriented skills
- learning about and implementing pedagogical, learning psychology, and communication theories
- examining current theories and models of vocational education and adult education
- providing professional support to trainees and employees with the aim of promoting health-related and nursing skills according to a predefined training plan
- interface management between the learning locations of vocational school and practical training
- Completed examination in the following professions: Completed examination in the following professions: healthcare and nursing, nursing specialist, healthcare and pediatric nursing, geriatric nursing, curative education nursing, midwifery and obstetrics, surgical and anesthetic technical assistance, emergency paramedic.
- At least 1 or 2 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned professions.
- 300 hours (approx. 10 months alongside work)
- Examination format: Completion of a thesis followed by a colloquium
- Participation requirements: Electronic device such as a laptop or PC (at least some of the time)
As part of the further training, our teachers provide support for educational projects or trainee instruction.
